“The thing worse than rebellion is the thing that causes rebellion.” – Frederick Douglass

Teenagers are going through a ton of stuff you’ve almost certainly forgotten and probably glad you’re finished with. They look like adults and desperately want to be treated like adults, but can come up really short on earning the right to be considered adults. They have built-in radar when it comes to needling parents, giving new meaning to the term ‘hair-trigger temper.’ They’re going through a phase, but unlike, say, teething, this one is destined to last for years. Oh, and they desperately need your love and support, but would rather die than tell that to you. That’s just the way they’re wired. Be ready for it.
