“I love you to the mountains and back.” – Anonymous

2 October
From “The Human Condition: A User’s Manual,” by Arnold Kunst
At one point, according to the Bible, Jesus ascended what was called the Mountain of Transfiguration where, joined by Moses and Elijah, He “shone as white as snow.” Three of Jesus’ disciples who accompanied Him were understandably dazzled. In fact, they wanted to stay forever in that moment of Transfiguration, there on the mountain top. Mountaintop moments, of course, can be life-changing as it apparently was for those disciples, but think of it: mountaintop moments don’t, can’t, last forever. Sooner or later you’ll need a quart of milk, you’ll want to sleep in your own bed.
Hey, life moves on!”
