“No matter how long it takes, true love is always worth the wait.” - Anonymous

From “Lincoln  365,” by Arnold Kunst
August 16
In the early years of their marriage whenever there was a thunderstorm Mary would take to her bed with blinding headaches, sometimes for days at a time. They say that Lincoln tended to her every need, was lavish in his sustained attention and solicitous care. It was as if there was a part deep inside her that would release wellness only when he had displayed sufficient gargantuan attention - only then would the headaches subside.

‘Your love for her is to be creative, sincere, abiding. Leave a post-it with her lunch where only she will find it: “I'm glad you're in my life.” Do that without anticipating she will react in the way you would like - and you’ll never look back.’
- Arnold Kunst
