Sigmund Freud once said, "The child is the father of the man" - truer words were never spoken. They say that after a church service Lincoln, as a child, would mount a stump and delight the other children with his rendition of the sermon he had just heard. It showcased Lincoln's ability at mimicry, his remarkable memory as well as his bubbly, ever-present sense of humor.
It was important, of course, that no adult be present!
